Need some simple and fun ideas for kids. Here are some of our favorites! Almost no prep involved. Kids will learn and play!
1. Water Paint
Great indoor or outdoor activity. Just need some construction paper, cup or bowl, brushes or sponges, and water! This is great on a hot day out on the driveway or on the sidewalk. Have them draw some shapes!
2. Sticker Wall
Just need some poster sized paper or you could tape up regular sized paper. A marker and some stickers! Let kids use the stickers to trace their names, shapes, numbers, lines, or alphabet! Really good for practicing color patterns!
3. Pom Pom Drop
Got any extra toilet paper rolls? Or Paper Towel Rolls? Connect as many as you want, have older kids help you build, and have them collect pom poms into the bowls. Have a race and see who can drop more pom poms into the bowl!Want an extra educational option? Add colors to the tubes and place a matching bowl underneath for color sorting fun!
Use construction paper to wrap your tubes!
4. Color Sorting
Just need some construction paper or colored paper and some blocks. Put the blocks in a pile and have them sort them. You could also use toys. For older kids, you could have them search the house for stuff.
5. Paint in Resealable Bags
Just need resealable bags and paint. Put a few different colors into a bag and push the air out before you close so that the bag is flat. Have kids use their fingers to make some art. Great for infants!
6. Sticky Wall
Just need some sticky paper like shelf liner and whatever crafts supplies you have like feathers, pom poms, foam shapes, even loose sequence!
Below is a white shelf liner. They also have a clear option that works great for other projects as well.
